98 Chevy fuel problems
I have replaced fuel pump and pressure regulator. Failing plugs, but holds 60 lbs of fuel pressure. Won't start, getting too much fuel. Every once in awhile, the truck will start and run fine.

Re: 98 Chevy fuel problems
How many miles on vehicle?
Is distributor rotating? Have you checked engine coolant temperature sensor Check ignition moduel in distributor. Are there any other symptons. You may need a scanner to help find problem. Hope this helps |

Re: 98 Chevy fuel problems
60 lbs of fuel pressure is on the boder line of to low.
You need 65 lbs for injectors to squirt fuel on a cold start. Check for good hot blue spark to more than one spark plug when no start. Watch and check cranking fuel pressure on a cold start. Try a squirt of carb cleaner. If it is a fuel problem a squirt of carb cleaner will help it start. Tell us more about the failing plugs? Do you have the correct good AC delco plugs in it?
