What are the legalities of a Right Hand Side Drive car in America?

Would it be legal to buy a right hand side drive car and drive it on the streets here in the U.S.? Is there anything I should know about bringing foreign cars over to the U.S.?

This really isn't the proper forum to post this question. I see you posted the same question in the "General Issues" subforum, and have received some answers there. So I am closing this one.
