98 Lincoln Mark VIII No Heat!

When the car is cold and I start the car, why is the Auto Climate control coming on instead of waiting for the car to get to the warmer temperature then coming on. All it does is blow cold air, the temp gauage on the dash is reading a normal temp and the heater lines seem to be both hot. What do you think?

Your Heater Core is not working. I am having similar problems and I also believe that it is causing a short noise over my radio. The relay continues to cycle and there is no heat. Not good, even if I live in South Florida, I may need to defrost my windshield every now & then...

I had a similiar heat problem with my 97 Mark VIII. From my research I found that a common problem is that the Blend Door actuator motor goes out or the control arm attached to the motor breaks. If you can find the right codes and which buttons to push, the car should tell you if the motor is bad.
Along with the motor, and finding some parts that were missing, I also had to replace the control unit. Good luck and I hope his helps

my 98 mark viii was blowing cold till I reached under glove box towards the left side and felt the blend door arm and gently pulled it towards me and like magic the heat came on
