need help with a transmission

tomorrow iam going to buy a 97 tahoe with 5.7 motor but the problem is there is no reverse but it goes in to drive with no problem is there any suggestion that some one can give me before i go and change the trans

make sure the radiator trans cooling section is properly cleaned before new transmission is hooked up . debris from defective transmission will damage new............

that is true i am glad you told me that i would not of thought of that so there is nothing to do to the trans that is in the suv

not to sure i just looked over it fast but it was nice and ran good and the guy only wants $1000 for it not bad i will check to see if the fluid is full but could this be a sensor on the trans?

No sensors or shift solenoids for reveres.
If it is full of fluid and the transmission filter is not stopped up No reveres is internal transmission problem.
