98 civic rough idle/ check engine light

when i start my car i was getting a rough idle like it was gonna cut out, then i would run the car everything was fine. this only happens on start ups then would go away. so i filled up my tank and when i started it same thing. i pulled out of the parking lot and check engine light starts blinking. i took it straight home and started it up and when i rev the engine a bit sounds fine, when i push the throttle more it seems like a rougher idle or cutting out a bit. also it is 22 degrees where im at . any suggestions? thanks

Re: 98 civic rough idle/ check engine light

Had the same problem!!! ok i changed quite a bit and i'm not sure what it was but it seemed to fix the problem! things i changed: idle air controller, flush the lines connected to idle air controller, O2 sensor (might be faulty), booster (vacuum problem), make sure all liquids are topped. I checked all these and the car runs mint now so try some and good luck! lol nothing was too expensive so no worries!
