Re: learning spanish software?

From everything I've read, Rosetta Stone is as good as it gets.

What don't you like about Rosetta Stone? I have the demo disc and I plan on getting the whole 1 2 3 set soon. I wanna get Chinese too.

I got another DVD ROM Spanish disc, "Onlingo" and it was okay, but it seemed like its prety much a Rosetta wannabe

i dont like rosetta stone because there its absolutly no english on it so it gets kind of confusing knowing what your saying i feel like im just learning words to a certain picture.

Re: learning spanish software?

I think there's really no better way to learn a language than to be forced to speak it in everyday life. RS tries to create that type of feel with the 'dynamic immersion' but how many times in your everyday life do you need to say "the boy is under the airplane"?

There's a new girl that was just brought into my department at work who is Mexican, so she said she'll try and help me with my spanish by throwing it to me in our work conversations. Plus it'll let us talk about our coworker that sits right near us without her knowing
