cold idle problem
I have a 94 trans am with his stock lt1 but, when it first starts on the day the car idles about 400 rpm and then when the temperature rises the idle rises to 700 or a bit more what the ...... is wrong whit my car ?

There's a few possiblities, if it's also running on the rich side while at low idle, I'd think a faulty intake air temp or engine coolant sensor would be top of the list.

the previous owner of the car is a friend of mine he put a resistor on the IAT sensor, could that be the problem ?? also the car has the low coolant light on always, but my dad has the same car and the light is always on aswell and his car works just fine

low coolant light is a seperate animal, usually monitors the coolant overflow tank level.
I would ask this friend of yours if the car was behaving in the same manor for him after deleting the IAT, which I think is the problem. I would just casually ask, "oh hey, I kinda noticed this...." yada-yada. |

I think I'll just take that damn resistor out and see what it does, thanks bro I'll work on that when I get home
