Transfer case questions....

Hi all, newbie to this forum. I'm helping someone my wife works with. She lost the transfer case in her 2001 Rodeo, something inside went and the vehicle will not move. She had the transmission repaired a year ago, in the process they dropped or damaged the tranfercase. It was leaking and somehow fixed, I have not seen it yet. The garage they brought it to wants $1,500 to replace the transfer case, money they cannot afford, especially this time of year. I found a transfer case from a 99 Rodeo for $50. From what I can find, this should bolt right up, same as the 2001? What fluid and how much goes into the transfer case? Anything else I should be aware of changing this?

Thanks for any and all help!

Re: Transfer case questions....

According to My Isuzu Parts. com ( http://www.myisuzuparts.com/showparts.php) it is the same transfer case for the auto transmission in 97-02 Rodeo's Andie
