Washer Fluid Fuse/Motor

For some reason since it's gotten cold, the 10 amp fuse for my washer fluid pump keeps blowing. I'm wondering if something is wrong with the motor. It is no good with all the cold and snowy weather in Wisconsin.

Re: Washer Fluid Fuse/Motor

Alright, does anyone know where the pump is located? I'm guessing at the bottom of the washer fluid tank, but I'm betting it isnt easy to get to.

pump is on washer bottle. if you put water in washer bottle then pump is frozen fuse blows. if pump is defective [ remove wires to pump and fuse does not blow] for 10- 20.oo you can put after market pump kit on to repair this.

Re: Washer Fluid Fuse/Motor

I got it into a warm garage for a few hours and it seems to be fine now.
Not sure why it would have froze up on me, I never add water. Hopefully it doesnt happen again because the washe fluid tank appears to go into the body by the battery, and it doesnt look fun to get in there.

if you get your car serviced like oil changes they usually will top off your fluids, I do not recommend this service be performed because this is how fluids get contaiminated as these lube technicians are the bottom of the auto maintenence service pool....run the washer down and add fresh concentrated washer fluid. gets cold in your state .........
