CD player issues (06' sierra)

Ok, I have a 2006 GMC Sierra 1500 with a CD player problem. I bought the truck a few days ago and the first CD I put into it wouldn't come out. It would play but not eject. So after hours of frustration I ended up ripping the dash apart and disassembling the radio. I got the CD out but now I have a couple new problems, it thinks the CD is still in there (the motors run as if too eject the CD) and the stereo won't turn on (The clock lights up and thats it). I don't know if it won't turn on because of it thinking the CD is in there or perhaps there is some sort of anti theft device, though nothing is marked on it saying there is.

Any input is appriciated!

What? You buy a 2006 model year truck without a warranty?
