Hey all.

Just checking in, it's been a while since I posted here and I thought I'd see how everyone is doing. So what's new, how's things been around these parts?

Re: Hey all.

Not much going on here. Just a couple "old timers" around.

I built a '87 ex 4cyl coupe. Went 357w, C4, S-trim @ 14psi to start with. Ended up with 517rwhp/485rwtq on a dyno pull with blow hg's and lost 3psi of boost when the heads raised. Then added Team-Z's drag radial suspension and a Wolfe 10-point cage. Did a wheelie on the street and decided I needed more. So $5k later I had a turbo kit that would support 1250ish hp, if the motor could hold it of course. Well the turbo was a PT76GTShp. Its Precision's largest T4 frame turbo that was available at the time, the "hp" means it has a ported exhaust housing. I ended up with around 650rw with this combo @ 12psi. Could have been a lot more but I was sneaking up on the tune. Never made it to the track or dyno due to piston failure. My forged Probe pistons got "squashed" by the cylinder pressure. The ring lands where collapsed onto the rings.
So I parted it out, bought a '69 Cougar, and I'm putting my 357w N/A into the Cougar with a TKO tranny, and 3.90 gears in the 9". Should be fun and be easier to enjoy on the street.

There are several other members working on projects as well. It would be nice to have a "builds" section or something. But this section seems to be just fine. My build probably should have gone in the performance category but it was started here so I left it.
