95 - Fuse in steering column

I have a question about disconnecting the horn fuse in a 95 le sabre. How do I get into the steering column? Is it necessary to disconnect the battery? Any airbag concerns? Anything else?

The fuse for the horn is not in the steering column...what are you trying to do?

I was going off of this:

It's not?

I'm trying to disconnect the horn because it will go off randomly, with no one inside the car. I think it's due to the weather.

Re: 95 - Fuse in steering column

Most likely it's going off because the contacts in the steering column are touching when they shouldn't be. If you want to remove the fuse, that will stop it. The fuses are located under the dash on both sides of the kickpanels, and I think there is a bank of large ones under the hood beneath the wiper blades. You don't need to go into the steering column, but if you do, you will need to remove th airbag and disable the system first.
