Stupid electrical stuff. >:[

My car's power windows are disgustingly slow, but they still work. Could it be a bad relay or bad window motors altogether?

One window in the back even dies altogether if you try to use it. It will go down a couple inches, progressively slower, until the window stops altogether. Then you have to wait a few hours to a day before it will work again, enough to close it back up.

More then likely the regulators are going bad, causing them to be so slow. Sometimes some fresh grease in the track will help them move a little better and extend the life of the regulator.

So where is this regulator in relation to the window motor itself?

And if greasing these regulators doesn't work, what should I try next?

The regulator is the part that raises the window, attached to both the window motor and glass.

Make sure you have nearly battery voltage agross the motor terminals while operating the window. A volt drop from resistance in either wire can cause the windows to be slow. If there's more than a .5v difference, repair wires as necessary. The one window that requires a few hours to cool off sounds like it's triping the internal breaker. Most likely the motors are just getting tired. It is VERY common for the wires to break where they bend in the door. The insulation cracks, which causes more flexing at that one point, rather than equally throughout the length of the wire. That will break individual strands of the wire, and eventually break alltogether.

What year is this car?

All the info on the car is right there in the sig.

I found out that it actually has a new motor in the front passenger door, but it did no good.
