95 maxima check engine light
Hey all,
my wife has a 95 maxima that the check engine light has went on. There is nothing obviously wrong with the car, but i had the codes read and it came up: PO115 - ECT (engine coolant temperature) sensor PO325 - knock sensor bank 1 PO125 - ECT sensor I read on other posts on this forum that sometimes these sensors can be faulty. Any advice is very much appreciated. |

Re: 95 maxima check engine light
How many miles dose the car have on it. That can make a difference.
Sometimes one sensor can mess up others function. If it were me I would start with the knock sensor and move on from there. If you think about it, why would 3 sensors go all at once?

Re: 95 maxima check engine light
It has 98k on it, but no obvious trouble. Is it a big job to replace the knock sensor, i have little experience with cars but am determined to learn!

Re: 95 maxima check engine light
Knock sensors age kills it, theres 5c bypass possibility (for test or use), check link p. 9 below how and why. Sensor is electrically equal to -93VGE. Temp sensor is a resistor which may be measured with a 10$ multimeter...
