65 Chevy ll or Nova????

My friend recently purchased a 65 Chevy for his son. It says Chevy ll on the rear quarters, but we noticed some say Nova. What were the differences in the models for this year? We noticed the roof line is different over the back window with one model having a wider "pillar" of metal where it meets the quarter. He wants to order parts, but isn't sure how to differentiate between the models of the duece.

For most parts, it shouldn't matter. If you're buying quarter panels or glass it might. The only differences I can think of is whether the car is a sedan (with the post) or a hardtop.

If I remember right the Nova was a deluxe version of the car, in later years the Chevy II was just called Nova. Decent web site here:
