89 jeep cherokee

Hello all and here is my problem. It will start fine but when it warms up it will die if i wait about 5 to 10 miniutes it will start again and run for about a mile ( most of the time alot less ). I herd it might be my distributor so i went out a bought a new one and put it on and i still have the same problem. What could it be?

Welcome to AF. On the Cherokee main page is a "sticky" thread on how to troubleshoot a no start XJ. I suggest you start there. Then post any findings for further help.

Please familiarize youself with the search feature. It can help you locate answers without waiting for someone to reply.

Re: 89 jeep cherokee

You might also want to do a search for CPS on the forum there's tons of info about them and they are quite problematic.

Re: 89 jeep cherokee

Hey guys/gals,

Look, is it just me, or is it next to impossible to get any results while searching here using a 3 letter acronym???

For a while now, to help the newies with their "search" responses, I've as I have in this thread, been giving the full wording..

Am I nuts, or nutz? What's Up?
