96 Suburban Buzzes when its cold
When I first start the truck in the cold the buzzer stays on until the truck warms up. Taking as long as ten minutes when it's really cold out.
Any ideas? |

Either a switch or a connection that becomes faulty when the temeperature gets real cold

Re: 96 Suburban Buzzes when its cold
I agree, prob a loose connection etc. But, my 96 did this when it first turned cold. Door ajar switch in the drivers door was to blame. After the truck was warm the buzzer, dome light would go out. Sorry to be Mr obvious, but do your dome lights stay on when this happens?

Re: 96 Suburban Buzzes when its cold
Hi from Canada, this happens to me too (95) when it's frosty out. It didnt when it was new, but over the years it seems the bumper thingy (on the driver's door panel)that the switch closes against when the driver's door is shut wore just slightly (I see a little dimple there). What I'm calling the switch is a black peg on the drivers side of the dash just above the fuse door. Once when I had to use the phone and it was still cold I stuck an evelope between the switch and the door and it quit.
