civic trans swap

ok my friend hasan 00 civic ex and want to change from an auto trans and wants to swap to a manuel. what exectally would be involved in this transfer. could you use the stock bell housing or would you have to change that too, and would you need to swap fron axels for any reason, he heard you would need to.

I'm not all to sure about the Civic, but its usually alot of work on newer cars (or even older ones, for that matter). I was looking into the swap for my '93 Sentra, but you have to change the crossmember, CV axles, ECM, motor mounts, tranny mounts, shifter and pedals (obviously), as well as a few other things. I'd stay away from an auto/manual swap unless you really know what you're doing (and really want that particular civic).
