(92)stereo problem

i got me a very nice 92, but is has a big problem, it has delco sound, its unacceptable. so what i want to do is move the air condition controls to the high opening and put my eclipse deck in the lower opening so its in reach. i also want to install my 6.5 kicker speakers in the front doors.

Re: (92)stereo problem

The Scosche ( I think I spelled that wrong) website will have instructions on how to remove it.

Re: (92)stereo problem

Hey last time I used them back when I did up a kid's Honda, the instructions were free. I guess they finally decided they should try to make more money by charging for information now.

Re: (92)stereo problem

the plastic woodgrain finish around the stereo i belive that it just prys off (gently pry it off) and the screws for the radio should be behind there.

Re: (92)stereo problem

the black/woodgrain looking area pops off but be careful because the plastic is weak, you have to remove that area while the dash is open because it will be in your way. If you dont already have one you will need a aftermarket radio install kit(walmart 12-15.00 dollars)....pretty much its common sense from there....

Re: (92)stereo problem

i got the cd player in and the front doors are ready for another set of speakers, i had the kickers all hooked up but a midrange wasn't working, that or a crossover, when i took off the "caprice" and "abs" emblems left some brown stains, would that stuff be hard to take off

Re: (92)stereo problem

its in such nice shape but i havn't got all the pinstripe off, i'm about to give up and take it to a bodyshop.
the trim along the doors came off so easily.
i want some bumpers without the chrome/black trim stuff.
adding the eclipse deck was a huge upgrade. i might put eclipse components in(6.5s & 6x9s)
i hope they sound nice with my 12"comps
