2002 Grand Prix Engine Light Problem
Today I noticed the service engine light was on so I had a guy at Autozone put the scanner on it and it said I had a thermostat problem. I replaced the thermostat and the car did get warmer then before so I think that was the problem. My question is how do I get rid of the service engine light now? Thanks!

Re: 2002 Grand Prix Engine Light Problem
Sometimes the Autozone guys will reset the SES/CEL light but it is generally against their corporate policy. A scanner will be required to reset the SES light or you could try disconnecting the battery negative cable for a few hours which may or may not work. The DTC was most likely a P0128?
