Just recently, I have begun hearing a slight whine from the engine that seems to me to possiby be a power steering whine..I here it more at the first initial start up when its cold, then it goes away. Do you possibly think that the pump it self may be going out or may it be something else I may not be thinking of? It does not increase or anything when I turn the wheel and the fluids are full. I do have 93,000 on it. Some guy at Valvoline said I might wanna change the p.s. fluid in it...What do you think?

Re: 2001 Blazer Power Steering whine
Changing the fluid should be done at 100,000 miles anyway. If that fixes it, it's a cheap fix. Pumps do wear and can make noise, fluid gets dirty and can also make noise. Worth a try.
