cooling fans are rigged!

fuses are good looks like someone wired srt8 power from fusebox to white looking boxes on fans and grounded to boby. i disconnected and watched scanner till about 214 deg and computer shows signal for fans to run but they dont. i need help with what to look for to diagnose the problem. would the temp switch keep the fans from running even tho there is a signal coming from computer?

Re: cooling fans are rigged!

Yes if the temp sensor is bad or has a short then they wont run.
BUT, since its been jerry rigged its hard to say what wong.

Sounds like you'll need to do some wire tracing, fun.
