Looking for firing order diagram 96 4.3l vin W
Is the firing order in figure 3 diagram incorrect ? They show #1 middle cylinder drivers side. Is drivers side considered bank one ?

Re: Looking for firing order diagram 96 4.3l vin W
It is marked right on the cap.
But they reversed 1-3 on the engine. All engines has lowest no cylinder at front of engine. The 4.3 V6 and most GM engines no one is on front of engine left side drivers side. Are you just needing the firing order or you setting the dist after being out.? MT

Re: Looking for firing order diagram 96 4.3l vin W
MT-2500 & Herkyhawki I appreciate your help. I am struggling with a misfire and used the link from this site to the autozone repair manual. I changed my plugs, cap, rotors, and wires with AC Delco a year ago and now have a flashing check engine light misfire. I changed plugs & wire 1 @ a time and it ran good 4 a year so I know I did it right, but when you get conflicting info you always ? your self. I am hoping I used too much dielectric grease and something is working loose. I will pull wires and plugs check compression and connections continuity of wires etc, but always like a true diagram in case I get lost.

Typical Autozone, you get what you pay for. Good thing this information was free. The diagram is numbered WRONG on their engine. Driver side front to rear is 1 3 5. Pass side is 2 4 6. The distributor cap in their diagram is shown correctly.
