My "new" '91 Explorer

Here's a pic

I've already bought a new starter solenoid, but it still needs a new fuel gauge, new front calipers, rotors, pads, and lines, and a new T-Case engagement motor.

I've already caught it on fire when the FL brake locked up on the freeway, heat up the rotor, boiled my brake fluid, and caught fire, but I've repaired the damage enough to drive it for now.

Re: My "new" '91 Explorer

It's got either 8k, 108k, or 208k. I'm pretty sure it's 208,000...but it still runs pretty dang well. As for parts, I'm not entirely sure of all that it needs. I may need the fuel gauge electronics that go in the dash.

Actually, they're non existent as "new" components. Ford considers them obsolete. How much for the gas/oil gauge??

Re: My "new" '91 Explorer

Heck, I thought they were selling these new still thought I seen some guy selling them as a "new" product on ebay for $40 a piece. Depending where you live probably $32.00 including shipping, how's that sound to ya? what state are you in?

Ford stopped making them in 2004…after a model specific part is 10 years old, Ford stops making them. The guy you saw probably had units that were purchased in 2004, but never used.

Anyways, $32 sounds good. I live in Everson, WA (that’s one of the most north western cities in the continental U.S.). How would you want to be paid?

Hey man, I respect that. I was kind of thinking paypal, also. I don't have an account yet, so I'll have to set one up.

Okay, sweet! I don't know exactly when I'll get the account setup, but I'll try to do it soon.
