any ideas on getting a cheap windshield?
96 XJ needs a new one before I get it inspected. Internet prices get me down to about $280 installed.
seeing as how I keep getting more and more cracks in it, I can't imagine paying $300 for a new one and having another crack 6 months from now. Is there any way to get it cheaper? Junkyards? I won't install it myself, but would love any ideas on this. |

Re: any ideas on getting a cheap windshield?
Junkyards might be cheaper. But for windshields, I like to tell my story of having 5 of them put in, free, over the course of 2 years. I had Comprehensive coverage on my 1986 vehicle at a $0 deductible. If you can handle the premium, it's a cheap way to replace windshields.
[enter debate here on if you should even have collision or comprehensive on a vehicle more than 5 years old]
