94 Regal Shuts Off
I have a 94 Regal with a 3.8 engine. Every now and then the engine shuts off when I slow down to a stop. The SES light also comes on and off when I am driving. I changed the sparks and wires, but that has not solved the problem. Any recommendations would be appreciated.
Thanks, Dan |

Also, engine has 86,000 original miles.

Re: 94 Regal Shuts Off
Welcome to AF
If it bucks a little before it stalls, your TCC solenoid is probably stuck and not releasing the torque converter as you slow down.

Re: 94 Regal Shuts Off
I have a Haynes Repair Manual and can't find a a TCC. Is this part known by another name? I assume the entire TCC should to be replaced, not just the solenoid. If you have an AC Delco part number would be great.
Thanks, Dan |
