Question bonneville transmision wont move until hot

Hi my tranny is missbehaving, it wont move unless the engine is totally warmed up this might take 10-15 minutes, is this tranny a gonner or is it something simple and inexpensive? mine is a SSE 3.8 engine

Re: boneville transmision

Welcome to AF, usually if it is full this is a sign of impending internal slippage/pressure loss. Post the year in the future, also.

Re: boneville transmision

Thank you, you are right I forgot the year, I'm sorry, it is a '94, bonneville SSE 3.8 engine, 78000 miles, So the best way to go is, I believe to replace or rebuild the transmission.

Re: boneville transmision

I'd have it checked and discuss it with a reputable trans shop first.
