You just gotta see this!

Has anybody been following Ken Hamiltons K&J Speed Shop Fall Kruise this past week? *LINK*

Ken puts on a special event for HO scale street rods and posts it on the B N B Auto Builders board with pics and commentary. There is all the events you would expect at a cruise in even including a burn out contest.

I was honored this year to do the faux cover layouts for the magazines that featured this event. I'd like to share three of them with you here.

Here's the covers from Car Craft.....

Popular Hot Rodding..........

and, Ken's favorite magazine= Rod & Custom........

There's still the HOT ROD MAGAZINE cover to come and the event program to come so stay tuned.

Here's the link to the whole show, it's killer!

Thanks for the link, that is an amazing diorama. I would love to see it in person. Excellent play by play with each picture too. The burnouts and the overheating car were a nice touch too. Again, fantastic diorama.

Holy crap! That'd be astonishing detail in any scale but in HO it really boggles the mind. I love the story that follows it - just stunning work by everyone involved, and just too cool for words!

Thanks, Luke, whenever you show up your rock the house and this time is no exception! Great job bringing a little life and fun into these parts!

Re: You just gotta see this!

That is some serious time and effort there!!! I cannot believe you have the room for something that big!?!?!? I wish I could even finish a dang model let alone make something that spectacular. Absolutely fabulous job there. I especially love the final burnout by the Chief of Police. Seems like something I would have done, lol.

Does that blue roadster have Lamborghini Gallardo rims on it?

Re: You just gotta see this!

I don't know very much about any of it, sorry. I'm just sort of the art director on this project. Ken sent me a bunch of pics and I did the covers for him. It is an amazing piece of work though.

I think the basic layout and some cars are his but a lot of the cars are "mail in" for the event. Ken e-mailed me and "buttered me up" so heavily about my photos that I got roped into doing the mag covers for him. He's a really great guy and I was happy to do it.

Utterly amazing. I can't find the right words to express how much I am impressed by that project. Simply outstanding in every aspect

Re: You just gotta see this!

No, but it may be in several modular sections. I think I saw something on the other board about it.
