No Spark, 88 Mgm, All Parts Changed
Left For Work The Other Day And My 88 Grand Marquis Died. It Would Not Re-start. A Friend Came Over And Found Out There Was No Spark. We Changed The Coil, Nothing. Then The Distributor And Wire, Also Nothing. We Then Changed The Module On The Side Of The Distributor, It Then Started. But After About 2 Minutes It Died Again. Now The Car Will Just Crank But Thats It, Just Like It Did Before We Changed Everything. Can Anyone Please Help Me With My 88 Grand Marquis.
Thanks, Chris |

Re: No Spark, 88 Mgm, All Parts Changed
Since you have changed all the ignition componets, have you checked for fuel pressure? If fuel pressure is OK, try unplugging each sensor one at a time to see if it will start. I have seen sensors short out and cause a no start condition. Look at the cannister purge solenoid located under the battery.

Re: No Spark, 88 Mgm, All Parts Changed
not sure what type of coil's on it but maybe see if there's power coming to it with a test light. My truck had similar prob. ran another hot wire to the coil and it's still running still.
