92 prizm started one day, now nothing

my prizm worked fine yesterday and when i went to start it today it was dead.. lights, stereo, wipers, ect.. everything worked just fine but it doesnt turn over.. i tried maken sure it was in park but that didnt work.. there is a blown fuses on the positive battery cable its the 40 amp one but i couldnt see that being the problem.. any advice would help..

replace the 40 amp fuse on the battery terminal.if it blows it again the you got a short somewhere. the power from the hot terminal goes thru the 40 amp fuse with it blown you not getting any voltage past the blown fuse.
