po300 & po404 codes need help

Hey all we have a 03 alero 3.4 90,000 last scan produced both codes and have replaced the egr valve. Car has no power no pick up speed can barely get up to 40 miles an hour. rpms wont even in nuetral go past 2500 any ideas will help.

PO300 is Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected. Usually this is due to old broken down plug wires, or worn out spark plugs. However, I would check that the plug wires are attached to the correct plugs first. If they are correct, and have not been replaced recently, change them and the plugs. Let us know if that helps you.

Iflylow thanks I will try that and see what that does. hopefully its that simple of a solution. The only other thing I know thats happening is I am getting a little bit of exhaust smell in cab of car. I'll let you know if this helps.

P0404 is Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) circut, open position performance problem.
