Re: need new motor

How about calling a local salvage yard, they all network country wide? Why would we have to do this for you?

Re: need new motor

It will bolt in yes, but you will also need the PCM from an L67 vehicle, and probably the rest of the wiring harness to go with it.

The transmission should bolt up, but probably wont last long at all. So you at a minimum would need axles and a differential and probably more from a donor vehicle.

It can be done, and has been done many times, but theres quite a bit more too it than just dropping in an engine and going. If youre really interested I can dig up more info, but Im just going off memory from discussions at another forum.

Re: need new motor

ok yea the motor in the link come"s with motor trans pcm an wireing.so all i would need from there is the pansnger side axle from a gtp rite?i was reading some where that i can reuse the stock wires with this adapter from think it's acc?
but yea im really interested in doing this i don't see it being that much harder then what i allready did to the car? an if i can use my stock wires with that kit it should be gravy! an i realy don"t need the car rite now so i have time to mess around a bit with it.a big worrie is spending the money on the used motor an it being a dud? or geting it an runing in to a hole bunch of crap cousting me way more then i ever thought. iwant to spend no more then $2300 if not ges ill tear back down the old motor an find out my it has only 25lb on #1 cly with 94k miles on it
