Rough idle on cold mornings,2001 sierra

In the mornings when its cold,my truck starts ok,right at first, then knocks and then starts to run really rough. It wants to stall, but I give it alittle gas to keep it running. I did all the cleaning, like the trottle body, air flow sensor and changed plugs, fuel filter etc.. Need some help! Rick

What kind of cleaning?

Have you run a fuel injector cleaner thru the fuel system?

On a 1992 truck I had the same condition. After new plugs, wires, filter etc I finally took it the dealer and they determined I had a bad oxygen sensor. Replaced that and all was well.

Does it flash anything at you when it does this (check engine light)? usually, if its plugs or something like that, the newer vehicles (96 and up) will give you a code for it. Once it warms up, does it smooth out? Just on cold mornings? or damp mornings?
