1994 4x2 to 4x4 conversion

I have a 1994 4.3L v6 Chevy c1500 with 4x2.

This truck has too much personal value to me for me to just trade it in so I'm wanting to know:
How hard it would be to do it
how much it would cost
who should i get to do it
where to i get the parts
and how long will it take to convert it before i can drive it again

I'm a pretty good gear-head I work with cars almost everyday and I've rebuilt the engine on this son of a gun twice now so would I still need a pro? (dad also has connections with a master mechanic if that would matter Y/N?)

I'm also wanting to know if i need to get a new rear end on it because i want to get it higher in the air, thinking maybe a 4"-6" lift? Thoughts/comments?

I'm also wanting to put dual exhaust on it but I've only heard one or two v6 engines in my life that sounded good with dual exhaust.

any help y'all are willing to give would be awesome!

(I drive the truck M-F so i can't keep it out of service for long)
