my Treps Governor

I have a 1997 Intrepid and I want to know what type of Governor it has and if it is possible to remove it.

It is built into the PCM, it will cut off the fuel and or ignition at about 115 mph, nothing you can do to the best of my knowledge to defeat it.

Driving faster than the governed speed generally isn't a good idea anyway, the car wasn't built for that.
