How can i tell what size my wheels are? I know they are AR-767 with BF Goodrich AT 31x10.50 R15 LT tires on them. What is the size 15x_? Can anyone please help me to fill in the blank?

Should be 15x10.5, but, I always get confused by the numbers. Try sending a PM or email to luke, the tire forum moderator. Last edited by Luke@tirerack; 01-22-2003 at 10:10 AM. |

Yah, i was thinking more like 10.5 myself b/c of the tire measure size. If so sounds like one wide tire.

if all else fails, you could always be old fashioned and measure the width.....but the tires would have to be off. If you have very wide tires, by wide, I mean, pro racing slicks, then a 10.5" rim sounds right, but sometimes the rim will have the dimensions embossed on the backside.
by the way, the tire dimensions you mentioned are a bit weird...usually they go something like: 225/40/ZR16 225 is the tire width (i forgot what unit of measurement they use), 40 is the profile of the tire (how tall the sidewall of the tire is), ZR is the speed-rating of the tire, and 16 is what size rim fits with the tire. I have no idea where the 31 or the 10.50 in your tire dimensions came from...either way, you can't figure out the width of the rim by looking at the width of the tire, cause you could fit huge slicks on tiny rims. if you're desperate to know, take off the rim and look at the backside. if it's not embossed there, check the owner's manual (if it's a factory rim). Hope this helped |

first off, we do not use vulgar words on this forum ......
Now on to the question ... tire size 31x10.5x15 31" tall 10.5" wide 15" wheel diameter wheel size 15" x ___ most likely 8" but there is no way to know from the info supplied in the post

225 (width) equals 225mm (milimetres)
40 (profile) equals % of profile Stephen
