OK - me again ... Got the motor jacked up and the new start installed, but now the new one won't work either! It's still doing the same thing (just giving a click when you turn the key!)
The battery is fine as well as the alternator. This is just driving me NUTS!!! All the contacts appear to be good. Could the bendix be bad on the reman or is there something that would actually take an act of Congress I don't know about? UPDATE - My bad ... I jumped the gun I guess. While waiting for a reply, I took the tire back off and got back under there. Even though it felt tight, I guess I didn't have the little push plug in all the way. I giggled it and pushed again and now she fires up like a champ! Now I just need to change out my S-belt then I can take a shower and get all girlyfied again! I've always been an old school mechanic and sometimes these newer vehicles (especially foreign ones) tend to make me want to ! Thanks again guys for your help!

Re: New Starter and still won't crank!!!
To confirm that the battery is actually 'fine', try jumping from a 2nd battery just to be sure that your problem isn't low amps. Just a thought.

Re: New Starter and still won't crank!!!
Had problems with my new one. Didnt know the new ones didnt come with alignment dowels. Tooks some fudging with it to get lined up right so it wasnt binding.
