Remote starter on a 99 Cougar.
I am getting ready to install a remote starter on a 99 Mercury Cougar.
It does have to Factory Alarm and I know it needs the by pass module, The problem is my friend has the starter system and the by-pass module Bulldog #791 but he doesn't want to spend $50 to have another key made for the by-pass module. Does anyone know of anyway to get the system to work without the extra key. I know on the VATS system from GM, you could get rid of the factory anti-theft by using some resistors to fool the alarm into thinking the key was in the ignition. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Joe
