Re: 04 Lincoln LS
Welcome to the forum. I've edited your post for profanity.
Your 04 Lincoln has the OBD-II CAN diagnostics. Swing by a local auto parts store and ask them if they perform OBD-2 scans for free. If so, have them pull the code(s) on your Lincoln. Get the full code numbers which should be in the format of P1234 for a powertrain code. As stated in your owner's manual, a flashing check engine light indicates an emissions-related issue that needs to be addressed quickly. If you drive it with a flashing CEL for too long, it could cause further, more expensive damage. Really, the 2003-2006 LS doesn't have that many common issues. Get the codes and that should indicate if it is a misfire and which cylinder is the culprit. Since you just got the car, was there any type of warranty on it? -Rod |

They wanted like $1900 for the warranty.. i got a mechanic who works on my car for me.. so i didnt want to spend the money on that.. did they improve this car at all since they came out? i know a couple people who have these cars and they all got the same problems..
