Imprts in the U.S.

Hi, I'm actually new at this. I was wondering if anyone can help me out by telling where exactly I could go in order to find imported cars such skylines or or supras. I was looking for dealers specifically in California. If anyone has an idea please let me know. Thanks.

Re: Imprts in the U.S.

Supras are just like any used sports car.

For skylines, read the stickies.

Re: Imprts in the U.S.

there's a dealer in palm springs that imports(legally) skylines from r32(1990) thru r33(1198). not cheap, but 50state leagle.

could also just do the drive in method. go to canada, find a skyline u want, buy it, drive it back. then register it as a show car, limited amount of miles, but still leagle.

supra's, mkiv, not easiest to find, but will run u about the same as a skyline in terms of price for equals(tt to tt, n/a to n/a). both get u respect, but supra would be easier to get parts for. skylines, i think there are a few parts interchangable from nissan's that we're imported, but not tonnes.

and really a skyline(to me) looks like a bigger sti or evo, with 2drs. a supra is a lil bit more independant looking. plus no1 will ever ask u what it is...however they will ask how much.

Hahahahaha the misinformation your spreading is dangerous unless your being sarcastic. If you really believe this you really need go back and read the import laws. You cannot buy one in Canada and just drive it back (Canada is another country thus its an import from Canada) No R32's can be legally imported, you haven't read the rescission agreement.

You need to read because all your information is false stop spreading information you don't know to be fact. The 1st link is show cars the 2nd link is all information please don't spread anymore misinformation

Re: Imprts in the U.S.

and yet my friend has three(3) nissan skyline gtr's(32,33,34) sitting in his garage, all bought by going to canada and bringing them across the border. and all are show car titled...meaning the government knows they are here. and he's had them for 2yrs. the government and insurance company(the one they are on) has never sent him a notice to tell him to bring em back to canada. evidentally it works. he hasn't had to do anything to make them strret leagle. and by NJ standards is allowed only 2500miles/yr on each car. so yea the state knows they are here...they check the odometer each yr. he rarely drives them, and when he's finished(3yr deal) they go back to canada, unless the law changes for importation of the skyline.

do i have pics of any of the cars...sadly no. have i seen em, damn right i have. i've driven the r32 and 34. and i myself have owned an r32(granted that was a motorex import, while they were open.) i sold it 11 days later, when i tried to insure it, and couldn't afford it. which was funny, i didn't even pay for it, i won it from a friend in a bet...what a dumbass he was.

so can u go to the northern friends and buy/drive one back, yea, is it leagle in every state, i dont know, i dont care, i only live in one, and it works here. i have thought of doing it myself, but just really don't have the want to drive a car from canada to NJ. upstate NY is a very boring drive. that and i know a person with a skyline that's for sale, he'll have more(i assume) eventually.

Nothing against you personally but I don't believe a word you've said. I gave the links so Driftr101 could know what the real truth on importing is and if he wants to go the illegal route than thats his choice because ignorance of the law is never an excuse. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
