1996 Sparkplug boot heatshield
I noticed that my heat sheilds for my sparkplugs are missing. These are the ones that bolt on with the exhaust manifold bolts. All four are gone. The guy who had my heads off last either lost them, or forgot to put them back on. Any idea where I can find some? I checked the junkyard, but they said they sell them with the engines. I suppose I will check other junkyards just in case. Also do you think it matters a whole lot? If I could do without them it would be great. Tell me what you think. Thanks!

If it came OEM with them it is best to replace them.
A good GM parts dealer should be able to get them for you. If you know the person that had the heads off go back there and ask him to check his extra bolts bin for the heat shields. Good Luck MT

Thanks MT. I'll check with my dealership this week, as this is the only place I know of around here that would have that kind of thing.
