Angry 2000 Galant I think I have had it!!

I have a 2000 Galant for about 2 yrs now. I bought it used with about 75000. miles. It now has 115000.In the last 8 months it has been one problem after another.I really don't want to be taken for a fool at the garage. 1st I have a thunking noise from the driverside front tire area, the garage can't find anything. I hear it when I am slowing down and stopping.I just had an aligmnet done about 2 months ago.And my brakes were vibrating really bad before that. My garage keeps cutting the rotars. Now I have thunking and squeeking. Also all of a sudden the heat barely works if at all. I let it warm up and it just blows cold, sometimes it will blow warm for 30 sec then back to cold.Check engine light is on, Advanced Auto parts says it's the EGR ? value , garage says don't worry about it's fine. Also about 2 weeks ago the car just would not start, put a new battery in , still nothing, then the garage said it was the Crank censor, replaced it for $377 and 3 days later I am stranded , car wont start. They say it's bce we disconnected the battery to put the bracket back on that they forgot to put on.They give me the car back, 1 week later car dead again. I pump the gas petal and it starts only to leave me stranded at my next stop!!!! AHHH! Then they tow it again, now they had it for 4 days and tell me it's the crank sensor again, they believe they got a bad part fromthe parts guy. Gimme a break!! I don't know what to do next!Put money in it, trade it in or drive it off a cliff. Please somebody just say something. Thanks~Lola

Should I be concerned about the tire coming off? I am nervous to even drive it.

Lola,
a few things come to mind. #1 change mechanics. #2 is the old saying about used cars and buying someone elses problems. I love my ES but I take very good care of it and I know it's history. I am at about 165K miles. Good Luck.

a bad egr will cause your car to not start or idle sometimes and run fine a day later. my suggestion is to repace the egr valve and also check the dpfe sensor which controls the egr valve flow. it could be either one. what does the code say exactally? And the clunking sounds like a bad CV shaft which is your front driveshaft and if that goes your front tire may lock up. As for the brake squeek buy new rotors preferably a cross drilled and slotted with a pair of ceramic brake pads that seems to do the trick. Mitsubshi recommends changing the rotors and pads every 15,000 miles, in other words their parts are crap. Good Luck. Write back if you have any questions.
