Car Stereo/Radio

I'm looking into getting a car stereo that can play CD's does anyone have any suggestions on a good model for the Geo. I have the original radio that came with the car which only plays the radio, it doesn't even have the ability to play a tape. Also what speakers would be good to put in the back of the car. At the moment I only have the one's that are in the dash and they work fine. But i would eventually like to have the whole surround sound feeling instead of being blasted from the front.

Re: Car Stereo/Radio

I've had good luck with Pioneer you can usually pick up a 45x4 or 50x4 on sale for around a $100. You can't beat their supertuner FM radio for reception. I've had good luck with Pioneer speakers too. I'm not saying Pioneer is the best stereo you can buy but for the money they're hard to beat. I've used them for over 30 yrs. with no problems. Team swift has a good section on stereos. If I remember correctly I have 6 1/2" in the back of my 98. Where you buy them should be able to look it up and make sure, they can help you pick out the speakers that best fit your needs and listening preferences. Plus you need to listen and pick out the ones you like best
