Output Speed Sensor

2001 Elantra and she suddenly shifted into 3rd, got her coded and it came up Output Speed Sensor Circuit. Easy to replace and must I drop the pan (need to get the Haynes out I guess).

Output speed sensor is on top of the transmission. There is an output and an input right next to each other.
