How do you replace a power steering pump on a 1998 Chevy Malibu?"

anything to help wise would be great !
no ideal about any of it first time to be doing it!
not car smart but have to get fixed asap to get to work!
any manuels?instructions?anything to help please!

what happend did the streering stop been smooth or did the pump fail. I ask this becuase my car streering is like the old day s when the cars didn't have streeing. and I not sure if it the rack o pion or the pump.

Well, Mine doesn't leak but when I park or doing a turn man o man it feels like i'm driving a old car

You have to remove the RH motor mount to get access to one of the pump's bolts. The thickness of that bracket makes all the difference. Place a piece of wood on a jack and support the motor from the oil pan when removing the mount. You'll need an 18mm socket to do the job.
