Question Fd3s

hey guys
new to this
am keen....really keen to get a series 8 FD

black and stock preferably.

but everyone i know that has their own opinion says to me me don't get it.

im wanting the opinion of actual rotary owners if these cars are generally more hassle than other sports cars.

also looking at various series 8 FDs i want to know why some dash boards are white and others black.

thanks for your time

While I am not a rotary owner myself, my uncle did have a FD3S for a while. And from what he told me they are fairly dependable, but once they do break your in for some hassle. The problem (at least in his area) is that not all mechanics know how to work on a Wankel engine. But if you have a mechanic in the area that can work on it, they are nice cars to have. As for the dash color, your on your own with that. I would guess it was simply a design choice they made.

Re: Fd3s

dont get one, unless you have alot of money to throw around or another car you use daily. Use the 13-20k you would spend on just buying one and buy a new (newer) car.

Stock will be fine just make sure it's under 60 kilo's or so. As far as modded ones go don't buy one unless it's fully built and single turbo or just exhaust an ecu otherwise do not buy it!

As far as the dashboards most are black I have never seen one in white only tan or red.
