Installing keyless entry

Hi all,

I'm considering installing a keyless entry system on my 2004 Grand AM but wanted to get some guidance first. I just want the most basic, cheapest system out there... and didn't know if it was best to purchase and install myself or if there were some fairly large retailers who install cheaply?

Also, if the best option is to install myself, I'm not very skilled with the under-the-hood stuff -- installing a battery is about where I peak. Is it too difficult?

Thanks for your help

Re: Installing keyless entry

Honestly I stay away from car electronics myself. I know anyone could install an entry system... if you follow the directions carefully and know something about wiring. From what I understand it's not the easiest if this is your first time doing it though. For cheap places with installation.... I know circuit city wasn't bad. I think I spent $200, with the alarm and installation.... The best thing is to try different places and see what they offer for pricing and warranty. Someplaces give you a lifetime warranty on the system... which can be a good thing!
