MB C-280 1999 Ignition Locked

How do I unlock the ignition with the electronic key or transformer key? I pulled it out and put in back into the ignition but it will not unlock. Cannot find anything clear in the manual. Thank you.

Have you checked the battery in your key?

Most likely the key itself that is the problem as the man before said Have you tried the spare key?

Re: MB C-280 1999 Ignition Locked

Newer car with the electronic ignition switch that does not allow the key to turn will require a factory scan tool to properly diag and repair. If another key does not fix your problem then you can test voltages to the switch using a wiring diagram. Then your done. A new part requires coding when installed or it will not work.
