I'm prolly one of the ONLY people here that is"legally" deaf, yeah, im drop dead deaf in both ears, well, with exception i can hear with the cochlear implant I have. I think you could have done without that last line - at least until it could be appropriately assigned to someone. My brother-in-law is legally blind (although he can make out some images if they are extremely close) and he never uses it to get attention.

Glad the device gives you some hearing.

To reciprocate - I bet most people here dont know (unless I've said it before) that I have over 1000 four leaf clovers. Not in the league with your post but I think its pretty unique

I've never and hope to never have to go through that **knock on wood** Myself, my obsticle in life is having to deal with Chronic Fatigue Immune Defiency Syndrome....I think that every one is plagued with some type of obsticle but some just get it worse than others. I'm so very sorry to hear about your loss of hearing sky...

Its all good, I don't look at my disability as a put down. Heh, I have many friends, deaf and hearing, so its all good. Plus i can hear now with the implant anyways, so its all good.

I think you will find we all suffer from some unuasual disease, disfigurement, or lack of social skills. Something that marks us out as being clearly differnt than the accepted norm in each of our societys.
