Transmition in 2001 Nav.

I have a 2001 Nav. that needs a tranni. When I do a search for transmitions for this vehicle in the variuos automotive parts search websites, I find a lot of availlable trannis. I don't understand the numbers that ID the tranni they list with the part. What do they mean and how do I know which will fit?
